To explore the distribution and retention of microbicide products and formulations

To prepare clinical trial sites through feasibility studies as a prelude to multi-national, randomised, double-blind, controlled trials of candidate microbicides in Africa

To optimise the tools and procedures and to understand the way in which the products are used within the study and broader population

To provide economic and epidemiological support to implement the widespread use of any product shown to be effective in the clinical trials. |
